The basic purpose of Clarifier is to separate solids from the incoming streams and then remove it as quickly as possible from the bottom of the Clarifier tank to ensure its minimum carryover in the clarified stream. This is the key parameter determining the efficiency of the clarifier unit. The operational efficiency of the Clarifier is controlled by the configuration and placement of following basic sections of Clarifier unit :
· Inlet section
· Clarified water section
· Settled sludge removal section
· Overall tank configuration |
